wedding fun....
This past weekend we attended my girlfriend's wedding. It was the first wedding we had attended as an engaged couple and it's amazing how much more attention I paid to EVERYTHING. Zack was a good sport listening to my comments all night.
and more....
Thanks to Miss (Ira) Thio, we're several steps closer to finalizing our invitations. Zack and I met with her on Sunday to review several mock ups. I was very excited about them all and am glad that I have such a great friend to create them.

One more step...
We've booked our florist, Flowers for You. She did a great job walking me through my options.
We'll be going with an array of red and orange flowers. Great color pops for our base color- brown.

So far...

Now that planning is fully underway, I wanted to give an update on what we have so far:
1) Our Date: Saturday, 9/12/09. 1:30 pm.
2) My dress: I bought it with my mom about a month ago at Tower Bridal in John's Landing. This covers my something new.
3) My veil, headpiece, and necklace: borrowing them from my sister. That will cover something old and borrowed!
4) Photographer: Reversed Lens Photography http://www.reversedlensphotography.com/
5) Church: Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego, OR
http://www.ollparish.com/index.html
6) Reception Site: Oswego Hills Winery in West Linn, OR (see previous blog for website)
In the works:
- catering
- DJ
- florist
- invitations with the help of Ira Thio's expertise
I have to say that everything seems to be falling into place quite nicely.

Back to it....
Let the planning re-commence.
After much deliberation, we have finally set the date for our wedding: September 12, 2009. We're planning on an outdoor reception so hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate.
You can learn more about our reception site by visiting:

We're really starting to get the details all set. I'm still waiting for the cake tasting though- Zack's in charge of that part.
More to come!
